Jayme is a NAASFP certified run coach and passionate marathon runner. She coaches athletes for distances ranging from the 5K to the marathon.
Jayme wasn’t always a runner. As a former ballet dancer, Jayme started running in 2006 to get back into shape. She finished her first half marathon in 2:45. It wasn’t pretty, but finishing the race sparked something inside of her. While that spark was dim at first, over time she found herself running more. She completed her first marathon in 2008 in Calgary in 5:38.
Over the years, Jayme has developed a deep love for the sport. She now sits on the Board of Directors of Run Ottawa, is actively involved in many races, including Canada’s largest running event, Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, and coaches with a number of running groups and gyms. She has completed 16 marathons (3:42) and 16 half marathons (1:41), with multiple 30km races. Jayme has big goals of her own, including running the Boston Marathon.
